Green Initiatives
In the 21st century, the print industry has made significant changes to reduce its effect on the Earth. At Wall Shotz, we pledge to stay on top of the eco-friendly curve, while still offering a superior product at competitive prices. As part of our environmental commitment, we constantly research more eco-friendly alternatives to offer. For example, we’re proud of the “green factors” in many of our products, such as:
- Aqueous ink. Used on our artist canvas and indoor posters, this ink is recyclable and breaks down in landfills.
- Eco-solvent ink. Used on the Photo Tex Wall Sticker and biodegradable banner, this has fewer VOCs (volatile organic compounds) in it, producing a product with less smell and when completely dry, has very low VOCs in it at all so it is a safer product for the environment.
- Phthalates-free adhesive. Used on the Photo Tex Wall Sticker, this product is recyclable and breaks down in landfills.
- Biodegradable banner. This non-toxic product breaks down quickly in landfills. For more information about BioFlex, click here.
In addition, we’ve made green business as part of our daily life. We recycle everything we can—paper, plastic, cardboard, aluminum, batteries, etc. We strive to donate creative materials, such as waste paper, adhesive backed vinyl, and scrap banner. Our green goals are high and evolving. For example, we’re currently researching the use of solar power to offset our carbon footprint and plan to plant trees throughout the community. We hope you’ll check back often to see what we’re working on next!
